Please note an important correction on a story I reported last week…
Not all of the three Willamette River ferries will begin charging bike-riding passengers $1 to ride. The Canby Ferry — operated by Clackamas County — will remain free.
This morning I heard from Ellen Rogalin, Community Relations Specialist for Clackamas County. Rogalin wanted to everyone to know that they’ve never even considered raising the bike fee and they have no plans to do so in the future.
The other two Willamette River ferries — Wheatland and Buena Vista — are run by Marion County and both require a $1 fee for biking passengers as of August 5th.
I regret the error in my story and apologize for any confusion it caused.
