8:00am Brian Willson Book Tour Kickoff
Meet at PSU Park Blocks behind Lincoln Hall, SW Park and SW Mill/Marke
S. Brian Willson is a prominent Viet Nam veteran turned peace activist and Portland resident. Brian will kickoff a book tour on his three-wheeled, hand-powered recumbent from Portland to San Francisco in support of his new memoir, “Blood on the Tracks: The Life and Times of S. Brian Willson.” This sendoff is a celebration of life and revolutions — one revolution of the wheel at a time — toward a livelihood that is not dependent on fossils fuels. Handcycle Pace, 10-12 mph; some hills; destination Newberg, 3-4 hours, 30 miles away; cyclists welcome to go part of or all the way.

9:00am Bells, Bubbles & Bubblers
Meet at 5th and SW Washington
Tour benson bubbler drinking fountains, blow bubbles, and ring your bells! stop to smile at public art!!! hand-crafted bubble wands made by local artisans. home-made bubble solution made by local enthusiasts. meet at the fountain at sw salmon and sw naito parkway. we will loop around the waterfront parks (crossing the hawthorne & steele bridges) and will stop at a few bubblers downtown. feel free to bring your own bubbles, wands, and bells. bring a container if you want some of our bubble solution

9:00am East Portland Tree Ride
Meet at MAX Green Line Main Street station, 1119 SE 96th Ave
We’ll see Big trees, Little trees, Concrete and Metal trees! Led by volunteers from EPAPbike, East Portland’s bike advocates.

10:00am Mustache Ride
Meet at Eastbank Esplenade, 5 SE Madison St
Hi there. Would you like to go for a mustache ride? Really? Great! Let’s meet at the Vera Katz statue on the Esplanade. If you don’t have a mustache of your own, mustaches will be provided for you. After we’ve mustache-ed ourselves, we ride around like mustache-ing maniacs, leaving a trail of creatively applied mustaches in our wake. You (yes, you!) get extra points if you mustache innocent bystanders we meet along our way! The climax of our mustache ride will be at MCBF. Spread what’s left of your mustache love to the fairgoers! (email if you can help craft mustaches for this event)

10:00am Pedal-BALLOON-Za!!!
Meet at The Lippman Co., 50 SE Yamhill St (SE Yamhill at Water, near the Esplanade)
Kids of all age! It’s back again! Decorate your bike and helmets with all sorts, sizes and shapes of balloons!!! We’ll have twisters on hand to help you deck out your bike. Then we’ll have a Balloon Parade down the Eastside Esplanade, showing off our “bike floats.” This has been a popular and creative event in the past, so get there early! Meet at the Lippman Company at 10 AM to decorate, ride will begin around 11:30 and we’ll be done around noon.

10:00am Ecoroof Bike Tour
Meeting spot it TBD, must RVSP
Take a tour of ecoroofs in Portland. Ecoroofs are vegetated roofs that provide a bunch of benefits to the environment and the property owner. We’ll visit 7-8 rooftops in downtown and eastside Portland, which are looking especially beautiful now that the sun has arrived. The tour will last 3 hours, around 5-8 miles, and will end at a local food and beverage establishment. Contact Matt at BESEcoroof[at]portlandoregon.gov to reserve a space.

10:00am Recycled Arts Festival (Vancouver)
Meet at Esther Short Park, 600 SW Columbia St
Ride your bike to the City of Vancouver Recycled Arts Festival and receive a free bike map bandana and reusable grocery bag! Free bike parking will be provided as well.

10:00am To market we go!
MEet at Columbia Park, N Winchell St and Woolsey Ave (meet on Winchell near water park)
This is a short ride, probably less than an hour. Bring your baskets! Get in on the first ride to the Saturday Interstate Farmers Market! Short, casual jaunt through North Portland will end at the IFM [at] DeLaSalle High School.

10:00am Cully Roll & Stroll
Grace Presbyterian Church parking lot, NE Cully Blvd and Prescott St (this is where the rides & walks start)
Rides led by PBOT staff leave at 10:20 and 12:30.– A community celebration of the new Cully Blvd. Green Street. PBOT completely rebuilt this road from NE Prescott to Killingsworth, adding sidewalks, stormwater swales, and the City’s first grade separated cycletrack. Come check it out and learn about how neighbors are planning what comes next. Community Booths, Arts, Music & Dance, Activities.

12:00pm Multnomah County Bike Fair
SE 12th and Alder (Washington High)
Bikes! Music! Bikes! Vendors! Bikes! Competitions! Unicycles! Entertainment! Bikes! Kidstuff! Bikes! Fooood! Tallbikes! Sunburns! Bikes! Wear sunscreen. Bring refreshment, friends, and family. Be prepared to participate!

1:00pm Buddhas By Bikes!
Meet at Dharma Rain Zen Center, 2514 SE Madison St
1:00pm, Please try and be on time. Ride duration based on # and interest of riders. For cyclists of most levels, and people with any level of interest in Buddhism-from the idly curious to Zen Monk! We’ll meet, have a quick discussion of the history and sects of Buddhism, then visit a number of active Buddhist groups, centers, and temples in SE Portland. The first 5 stops are within 6 blocks, followed longer rides and dinner at a Buddhist restaurant. Riders may leave according to their ability/time constraints/ interest. No fees, but please bring small bills to donate, and estimated ten bucks if you’ll eat dinner with us.

1:00pm SOB bike crawl
Meet at Metropolis Bike Repair & Southern Oregon Brewing, N Pace and Williams St
A very fun series of bike pub crawls beginning at 1:00 at Metropolis bike repair on N Williams. We ride to five very cool, very bike friendly bars in Portland drinking Southern Oregon Brewing Beers. facebook, SOB bike crawl 2011

2:00pm Wrench Raiders Community Ride
Meet at Col. Summers Park, SE 17th Ave and Taylor St
Ride with the Wrench Raiders and be part of a great community focused on opening transportation options to those who need the most: people experiencing homelessness and poverty. Please watch the Wrench Raiders web site for more information about the ride and to RSVP for free hamburgers and a grilled vegan option. ~1 hour ride then BBQ

4:00pm Art in Unexpected Places
Meet at NE corner of Berrydale Park , SE 92nd St & Taylor Street
Join us as we travel along the 205 path, stopping to appreciate site specific dance and public art, while traversing the landscape of multiple modes of transport.

6:30pm Bike Noir
Meet at WTF Bikes, 1114 SE Clay St
Pedal to unexpected places among the shadows of the Rose City as a mystery unfolds in the gritty industrial underbelly of Portland, Oregon. Follow the action on bicycle to uncover secrets in back alleyways and beneath bridges. Bike Noir marks the Working Theatre Collective’s third venture into Portland-inspired bicycle-powered theatre. Audiences will ride with the performers to a series of locations to experience this film noir inspired play. This ride is free, but donations are appreciated. film noir getups encouraged! (trenchcoats, dark suits, lipstick, sultry dresses etc.)

9:00pm MIDNIGHT RIDAZZ Ride
Meet at Pioneer Courthouse Square, SW 6th Ave and Morrison St
Featuring the DJ Formerly Known as Alaska. This ride is a Midnight Ridazz Style Ride. We will have multiple stops. Please prepare yourself! Bring: fun, lights, equipment to fix a flat, something to ride, locks, leave no trace attitude, costume, you know what to do. All bikes welcome. When you hear “Midnight Ridazz!!!” respond with “Ride on!!!”
