Event: Ride4CAP-Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic Wants YOU! (7/9/11)

On July 8th and July 9th, 10,000 bicyclists will embark on the annual 200 mile Group Health Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic (STP). The event provides an excellent opportunity to promote wellness, to support the organizers at the Cascade Bicycle Club, and for the 3,000 teams to raise money or interest for a cause.

This year, Cascade AIDS Project will join the 10,000 riders and has formed the 3,001st team: Team CAP. CAP is still recruiting interested riders to join our team. There are several thousand STP riders from the Portland metro and southern Washington area; just do the math — if just a few hundred of you raise $500 each or more, CAP could raise over $100,000 for our essential HIV/AIDS services!

We’re also offering some sweet incentives if you join and raise money for CAP. These incentives include:

* Water bottle and Nike Drawstring bag for joining.
* Raise $200 and get your original STP registration fee refunded to you.
* Raise $500 and get a Team CAP cycling jersey.
* Raise $1,000 and get a gift certificate to one of 3 Portland-area restaurants.

To join Team CAP and start fundraising, go to www.ride4cap.org or contact Eric Shaffer at 503.278.3851.

Thank you for Riding 4 CAP!
