Event Description: ARTCRANK is a show of bicycle-inspired poster artwork that introduces people to talented local artists they’ve never heard of before and sends them home with affordable, original works of art. Bikes are the world’s most fun, accessible way to get around. Posters are the world’s most fun, accessible art form. ARTCRANK brings them together.
ARTCRANK debuted in Portland in 2009 to rave reviews from the cycling and creative communities. The 2010 show features even more posters by Portland area artists. Admission to ARTCRANK Portland is free, and all posters will sell for $30.
Since its 2007 debut in Minneapolis, ARTCRANK has expanded to include shows in bike friendly cities including Portland, San Francisco, St. Louis, Denver, Des Moines and London.
ARTCRANK’s mission is to combine the energy of bike culture, creativity and advocacy to create a new way for people to get excited about cycling for transportation, health and pure enjoyment — locally, nationally and internationally.
