Event Description:
Women’s cycling club Sorelle Forte in conjunction with women’s sportswear retailer Title Nine will present a weekender’s cycling series event for beginner and intermediate female cyclists from July 22 through August 8.

The series of clinics and rides is an introduction to cycling focused on helping women feel more comfortable on their bikes and riding on the roads.

Title Nine will provide gift card raffles and a T9 goodie bottle. Members of Sorella Forte will provide expertise instruction on a variety of topics including basic bike equipment and safety; women’s specific training; and how to change a flat tire and only get one finger greasy.

Sorella Forte club members will also lead three separate Sunday rides to teach women bike handling and group riding skills, climbing techniques and the best downtown Portland routes.

The cost is $120 and includes three Thursday night clinics on July 22, July 29 and August 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and three Sunday morning rides on July 25, August 1 and August 8 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The clinics will be held at the Title Nine retail store located at 1335 NW Kearney Street in Portland. The rides will meet at pre-determined sites that will include the I-205 bike path, downtown Portland and Mt. Tabor.

Space is limited, so register today. Contact Suzanne Mickelson at smickelson(at)titlenine(dot)com or call the Title Nine store at 1335 NW Kearney Street at 503-243-2220.
