We’ve been wondering when the bike event season would start winding down, and with only three events popping out at us on the calendar this weekend, it looks like it might finally be happening. Not that you’re off the hook — there’s still fun to be had, organized and otherwise. So bundle up and get out there!

Friday, November 13
3:00pm – 6:00pm: Metropolis Cycles One Year Anniversary Party
Stop by 2249 N Williams to help the crew at Metropolis celebrate their first year in business along Portland’s main bicycle freeway with pizza, prizes, and hot and cold drinks.
12:00am: Midnight Mystery Ride – End Hunger Edition
Bring a can of food to support Oregon Food Bank. Meet at The Maiden on SE 7th and Morrison.
Saturday, November 14
11:30am: Saturday Coffee Ride
After volunteering at the BTA’s regular Saturday morning office hours (9:30-11:30a, 233 NW 5th Ave), join friends for a relaxed ride to local cafes. We usually hit two different local coffee shops each Saturday. There’s plenty of time to socialize and eat or drink at each stop. Five miles or so.
Sunday, November 15
9:00am – 2:00pm: Cross Crusade Race #8
The final weekend in another epic season of the Cross Crusade. The course at Barton Park is challenging and the action is sure to be memorable. Get out there to race or to watch!
1:00pm – 5:00pm: Trainspotting by Bike
It’s been a while since Carye Bye led one of her popular local museum tours, so don’t miss this one, especially if you’re a train buff. Meet at the Overlook Restaurant (1332 N Skidmore St) for brunch at 1pm; tour leaves at 2:00pm for a train museum, trainspotting on the bluffs, and other train-related destinations. $5 museum admission and several optional food stops along the way.
