Description: Description:
Black men’s Schwinn Suburban, with color-matching fenders with white lettering and pinstripes, a few rust spots, big chrome mounted shifters (one broken), padded black original Schwinn logo seat, curved chrome cruiser handle bars w/black handle grips and old original (not accurate) speedometer.
The back tire doesn’t hold air too well and it has a habit of slipping out of gear. It’s also pretty heavy! There is no chain guard but a chrome “lip” over the front pedal / chain area. It also has a chrome/rusty metal cargo rack with retainer/spring “arm”. There was also a small portable air pump held to the back cargo rack with a bungee cord.
I am a car-free and my bike is my primary mode of transport. The only proof of ownership I have is the pictures below taken in my backyard, a receipt for new tires and chain from April (Community Bicycle Center), and the testimony of the woman I bought it from at an estate sale back in March.
There is also a mounted logo from a bike store in Tacoma on the frame.
