Surely by now you’ve heard of the Sprockettes, but have you heard of Chain Reaction? They’re the new bike dance crew on the scene.

Check out some of the action…

These guys bring some serious skills and talent to Portland’s streets and they entertained an appreciative crowd at the Walk and Bike Challenge Celebration event on Sunday at the South Park Blocks.

Similar to the Sprockettes, Chain Reaction’s style is a mix of bike tricks, stunts, and synchronized dance steps. They all ride small BMX/freestyle bikes and during Sunday’s performance they took turns doing solo tricks (Blake impressed with a front-wheel handstand), jousted, and rode and whipped their bikes around like pros.

The six-member group — which debuted at the Mini Bike Winter Party back in February — has worked hard over the winter to get ready for a full summer of performances.

If you missed their most recent performance, make sure to see them at the Multnomah County Bike Fair on Saturday, June 28.
