Here’s a list of bike-related events and rides happening around Portland this weekend (May 3-4). I hope to make this a regular feature and publish it every Thursday morning so you can help plan your bikey weekend.

Saturday (5/3)
Walk and Bike Challenge Kickoff
Come and join Portland families as we kickoff the Walk + Bike to School Challenge Month with dancing, speakers, and a bike ride/walk along the river on the Eastbank Esplanade.

PUMP Trail Party
Join volunteers from the Portland United Mountain Pedalers (PUMP) for a fun day of trail work while they re-route and repair a hidden gem of singletrack trail in Forest Park — Newton Road.

Proceeds to benefit the Eric Kautzky Memorial Scholarship Fund at Tigard High School.

Ride Around Clark County
Come join us for the 25th annual RACC! Enjoy one of four loops in scenic Clark County, Washington. Sponsored by the Vancouver Bicycle Club.

Bike Camping at Cape Lookout
Led by local non-profit Exchange Cycle Tours (ECT), these are completely self-supported camping trips (meaning we carry everything out and back on the bike – no SAG vehicles, no baggage truck).

Amazing Art in the Yard Ride
Beyond garden gnomes and pink flamingoes: check out some fabulous yard art on a leisurely ~10-mile loop around NENE PDX. Ride + art = strictly amateur fun. Ride-themed attire and bike decor strongly encouraged but not mandatory. Ride is looping and begins & ends ~near the 10, 77 & 75 bus lines. Join us for a bikey-arty frolic!

Master Plastic ReCycle Ride
Meet at one school, ride to another to drop off plastic. Bring your clean plastic pre-sorted by numbers 1-7.

Beginning to Intermediate Level Road Ride (weekly)
Meet at the Woodstock Bike Gallery (4235 SE Woodstock Blvd) for a 20-30 mile road ride, some hills, but no rider left behind.

Bike Polo at Alberta Park
Bike Polo has been played nearly every Sunday at Alberta Park for over five years. Great for spectators this bike polo is rated PG-13 for profanity, violence, sexuality and gratuitous fun. Mallets and heckling provided. Bring your own beater bike or ride one of ours.
