Hottest Day of the Year Ride
No one is safe from
the post-ride water fight!

So far, the weather is cooperating to make this weekend’s Hottest Day of the Year Ride another memorable event.

Last year, I joined over 900 other folks for a fun, urban loop followed by a massive water fight and an indulgent make-your-own ice-cream sundae buffet. This year, I’m bringing the whole family.

Organizers are hoping even more people show up and the goal is to make a serious run at the Guinness World Record for largest water fight (which according to event promoter Ayleen Crotty is 1,173 people).

If the fun route, ice-cream buffet and water fight don’t convince you to show up, than consider that the ride is a major benefit for the programs of the Community Cycling Center.

The ride is this Sunday (8/5) and starts at the Lucky Lab Beer Hall (1945 NW Quimby). You can choose from a 15 or 40 route and squirt guns are included with registration.
