Portland, Oregon — July 6th – 8th, 2007:

Elite track cyclists will converge upon the outdoor track at the Alpenrose Dairy Velodrome for a three-day racing extravaganza. Don’t miss this free event! Enjoy great food, exhilirating entertainment and the opportunity to shop for heavily discounted cycling attire not to mention world-class racing. See national and international athletes, Olympians, and local elite riders competing for track records and big cash prizes. Bring the kids and stay all day. The Alpenrose Velodrome Challenge is a wonderful family experience.

Sponsored by the Alpenrose Dairy, Bike Central,CycleOne, Nike Gallery, Mike Colbach, Russ Auto Group, Race Center NW, Outdoors NW, and the Oregon Bike Racing Association (OBRA), this event is sure to please all sports fans. Sessions run throughout the day beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6th. You’ll see sprints, long distances, strategic races, and team events. Children are welcome to participate in the Kiddie Kilo races at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday; just bring a bike and a helmet.

This is event boasts one of the largest prize lists in North America. It is a great spectator event, and it is FREE for spectators!
