Two especially awesome rides today. First the Bike Kiss-in! Check out last year’s report…it’s just what it sounds like! And you should definitely check out the Transportation Geeks Ride. Back after its success last year, it’s being led again by the smart and fun Elicia Cardenas and TriMet’s bike guy Kiran Limaye. They’ll teach you all the wonky transportation stuff you never wanted to know ;-)!

It’s true that everybody smiles on a bike, so lets make ourselves happier by kissing with those lips and making the solo drivers a bit jealous. We will ride to the most attractive spot and get this kiss in on for the homebound commuters. Everyone needs to bring your own kissing partner. Don’t forget your signs. Mints provided.

VANCOUVER DOWNTOWN HERITAGE TREE TOUR (Vancouver)
112 Columbia Way (Old Apple Tree Park)
7pm, Ride lasts about an hour
The public is invited on a bicycle tour of downtown Vancouver’s Heritage Trees. The ride will begin at Old Apple Tree Park, 112 Columbia Way. The flat, easy, four-mile bicycle route stops at eight locations to admire some of Vancouver’s most celebrated Heritage Trees. Urban Forestry staff will lead the ride and provide historical and arboricultural information about each tree. Participants must bring their own bicycles. Helmets are required and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
