Volunteer: Reach the Beach

Buffered Bike Lane with a bike symbol and arrow pointing forward

[NOTE to readers: This post is coming to you via my new “Volunteer” category. I am experimenting with this as a way to increase visibility for volunteer opportunities. Like the Stolen Bike Listings, these posts will not show up on the front page of the site, they will only show up in the RSS feed, email notifications and in the “Recent Posts” lists in my sidebar. Thanks and let me know if you have any feedback.]

Reach the Beach is a 2,000 rider strong benefit bicycle ride for the
American Lung Association of Oregon (ALAO). You don’t need to be on a
bike to make a huge difference in the ALAO’s work to promote lung
health and clean air. Over 300 volunteers are needed to make this
event a success on May 20th. SIGN UP TODAY!

FREE STUFF FOR VOLUNTEERS!
Breakfast, lunch, snacks, a commemorative hat and free entry to our
**finish line beach party in Pacific City**.

IN PORTLAND
The Portland start is our largest and it’s a century ride. We’ll
process at least 1,000 riders there and need the help of tons of
volunteers, but we don’t yet have enough. Come volunteer. This
location also features delicious coffee from Nossa Familia, breakfast
for volunteers and more.

See our website for details about morning and afternoon positions in
all different parts of Oregon. Most of you are probably interested
in Portland, but volunteering in Pacific City is an opportunity to
volunteer in the heart of our beach party, sink your toes in the
sand, drink beer after volunteering, etc. It’s a great time down there.
