Now available: The new BikePortland.org T-shirt

$20 and in bike box green. How can you resist?!

Our fantastic new shirts are here and they’re ready for general consumption.

The design is pretty simple; a pack of riders and the words “Join Us” in bike lane marking font. We worked with graphic designer Gabriel Amadeus on the image. Initially, we had a few versions with various slogans and designs. I decided on “Join Us” because I saw a gap in the riders and I thought it looked like there was room for someone (you?) to pull alongside of them and ride off together into the future/sunset/great unknown (insert whatever interpretation you like).

The women’s model has
the graphic near the hip.

The “Join Us” also captures the current vibe here at BikePortland.org headquarters. In case you haven’t noticed, I’m finally opening up a bit and bringing in staff, volunteers, and generally looking to build up a team of smart, passionate and creative people (more on all that later).

As for the shirt, it was was screenprinted locally by Chaingang (thanks KiKi and Deven) and it’s made by American Apparel. The color is bike box green and the white ink has a bit of green in it so the contrast is mellow.

We have a limited number available and they come in both men’s and women’s and in sizes S-XL (men’s large are going fast). *An important note for the ladies — we moved the design to the bottom on ladies tees after hearing feedback on the breast issue.

The shirts are $20 a piece (+$3 for shipping) and once they’re gone…that’s it. We have a limited number available so we can offer fresh designs every few months. The proceeds help BikePortland.org continue to inform, inspire, and grow!

You can order the shirt via PayPal. More info here.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming…

Nice shirt, but it really should have the bikers running a red light, for accuracy.

I don’t run red lights. The design is perfect. Just placed my order! Woo hoo!

Jonathan – does your mom know that the American Apparel women’s t-shirts run slightly smallish?

Oh, and thanks to you and your team for offering women’s sizes. The “unisex sizing” just doesn’t work for all girls. 🙂

I got mine at BikeCraft … it’s very … uh … GREEN! Definitely the lime-greeniest piece of clothing I own.

Ok, so I admit, it’s not my usual color, but what the heck … nice design, and it sure is visible.

Jonathan,

I like it … though my wife wasn’t much warmer to the belly print than the bikes on breasts.
