Vegan Picnic Ride
September 5 at 11:30 am
“UPDATE 8/29: THIS WAS PREVIOUSLY DESCRIBED AS A POTLUCK. DUE TO COVID, WE’LL NO LONGER BE SHARING FOOD. However, the organization “Food Not Bombs” will likely attend to serve snacks and cold tea, using their covid protocols.
Due to popular demand, this ride is back! We’ll do a slow, easy two hour group ride, then end at ~2pm for a picnic outdoors at Laurelhurst Park. This is a perfect ride for kids and the entire family. All are welcome. You don’t have to be vegan, as long as you’re respectful.
– Bring something to eat/drink for yourself. We’ll eat outdoors at the benches at Laurelhurst park, so you can spread out to your comfort level.
– Keep all food vegan. If animals were forced to produce it, please don’t bring it. We’ll avoid meat, dairy, eggs, and honey.
– Bring your own plates/utensils/cups. Let’s keep this zero waste… single-use disposables suck!
– If you need help hauling food by bicycle, make friends with fellow riders who have big hauling capacity 🙂 Portlanders move food around town by bicycle all the time. We’ll all help each other with this task 🙂
End location: Laurelhurst Park”
