Sorella Forte Women’s Group Road Ride
September 24, 2022 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Saturday, repeating until January 7, 2023

Our rides are open to all female-identifying riders who share a passion for riding a bike. To support a more equitable cycling community, this team welcomes riders of all races, ethnicities, sexualities and gender identities. We support people who want to race as well as recreational riders who want to ride on a regular basis.
If you’d like to join us for a ride just show up ready to ride or sign up at our Meetup Group. You do not need to be a member of the Sorella Forte Cycling Club to join this ride and the Meetup Group.
Every Saturday we ride 30-40 miles. The pace generally hovers in the 14-19 mph range, faster than a recreational cruise, but almost always conversational pace. Be prepared for both hills and flats and to spin consistently for 2-3 hours at a time without stopping. On occasion, team members also lead other rides during weekdays or Sundays. These rides are announced via our Sorella Groups.io site/channels. You can learn about these rides by joining Sorella Forte. We leave at 9 am. from River City Bicycles every Saturday (except when there is snow, ice or other severe winter conditions) and aim to be back to RCB before noon. No promises, though, as this is a no-drop ride, and the group will stop to fix flats, take a bathroom breaks, and re-group at major turns on the route. Always eat breakfast before you ride – because bonking is just no fun!
