SHIFTING GEARS: a bike ride through Portland’s history of community displacement

Join community organizer LaQuida Landford for a bike tour through Portland’s history of public housing, and housing discrimination.

The ride culminates with a screening of the documentary The Nicole Taylor Story, and a panel discussion with filmmaker Nicole Taylor about her life as a former gang member in Northeast Portland. An art performance and a community picnic will close the event.

Bring your own bike or borrow one on site, made available by the Community Cycling Center and BikeTown.

This event is FREE, but donations are gladly accepted at reservation and on site.
