November 2021 Agenda:
Public Comment (6:10-6:15)
Pricing Options for Equitable Mobility (6:15-7:00)
The Pricing Options for Equitable Mobility (POEM) Task Force was convened between January 2020 and July 2021 to consider if and how to potentially use pricing strategies in Portland to help to improve mobility, address the climate crisis and move toward a more equitable transportation system. Portland City Council recently accepted the POEM final report, voting on a resolution directing PBOT and BPS to develop an implementation plan for specific pricing strategies based on the POEM recommendations and returning to City Council within 9 months. This comes in the context of Portland’s declared Climate Emergency. Shoshana Cohen, PBOT’s Project Manager for POEM will discuss the report’s findings and the city’s charge to develop an implementation plan. She will discuss this in the context of the city’s Climate Action efforts.
Regional Flexible Funds (7:00-7:35)
PBOT Planner Zef Wagner will discuss PBOT’s proposed projects for federal RFFA funding. Proposals will be due to Metro by late winter/early spring of 2022. These projects will receive federal funding in the years 2025-2027. Zef will present approach and design concepts in advance of writing applications.
BIKETOWN survey follow up and future station planning (7:35-8:00)
PBOT staff is requesting input on future stations in the BIKETOWN expansion area. Staff will share the decision-making process for the expansion of the service area.
