Open House: Lloyd to Woodlawn Neighborhood Greenway

February 27, 2018 at 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

PBOT is planning a new traffic safety and access project in Northeast Portland, and we want to hear from you!

The Lloyd to Woodlawn Neighborhood Greenway Project will expand our citywide low-stress bicycling network in Northeast Portland by creating a safe and pleasant place to walk or bike to employment centers, neighborhood destinations, schools, and nearby parks.

Drop in to the open house anytime to review materials at your own pace. Light refreshments to be provided. Come talk to project team members about:

• The purpose and benefits of the project.
• Which potential streets and design elements are under consideration.
• What we’ve heard from the public so far.
• What related traffic issues and challenges you have in the neighborhood.

The project will improve conditions for bicycling and walking between the Lloyd District and Woodlawn Neighborhood, and provide a safe option for people accessing MLK Jr. Blvd. Project elements include slowing traffic speeds, reducing traffic volumes, upgrading crossings of busy streets, and creating new connections to existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.

Cannot make it to the open house? Stay tuned for the online version. Sign up for announcements from our project website: https://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/L2W
