Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough
October 4 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
First it was the Idaho Stop, then the Delaware Yield. Then Arkansas abolished stop signs, while Oregon gave us the option to slow then go. Starting on October 1, 2020, Washington state joins the party of early adopters with their own “Safety Stop.” In celebration of this momentous occasion, let’s conserve our own momentum on a non-stop ride through Vancouver, USA.
Meet at 11, ride at 11:30 am. We’ll be starting in North Portland at the Peninsula Park Rose Garden on the way to downtown Vancouver, followed by a loop of Vancouver’s best and worst stop signs, with likely pit stops.
Clark County is still in Phase 2 of the Safe Start Washington plan, which “allows for small gatherings of no more than five people from outside the household.” With this in mind, we’ll be limiting riders to groups of five and practicing social distancing, but don’t worry, we doubt we’ll have that many people show up anyway! Everyone is encouraged to bring their highest visibility mask. For those of you who would prefer to ride on your own, an approximate route will be posted closer to the day of the ride.
Invite a friend, come have fun, and don’t stop ’til you get enough!
