I am organizing a ride out to the Beaverton campus for those who wish to ride out en masse. Details below:

Where: Salmon St. Fountain, Tom McCall Waterfront Park
When: January 31st, 4:45pm (we leave PROMPTLY at 5:15)

What and Why: Have you ever been to Cycle Oregon? Have you ever wanted to?
Do you just want to know what all the hoopla is about? Now\’s your chance.
Cycle Oregon is having their annual kickoff party, where they announce this
year\’s route. They hold the kickoff party at Nike Headquarters in Beaverton
(yes, I know, some of you are rabidly anti-Nike – come anyway, and eat their
food for free and make snarky comments). We\’re going to ride out to the
Westside, an adventure in itself.

Yes, it\’s a workout. Yes, it\’s Nike. Yes, it\’s a totally commercial event
but Cycle Oregon does actually benefit a lot of worthy causes. If none of
this fazes you, then meet us downtown at the Salmon St. fountain and we\’ll
brave traffic, hills and the weather through SW to this event. Hope to see
you there!
