Advisory Bike Lanes Online Open House (PBOT)
December 1, 2022 at 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
It may sound strange – cars in both directions sharing a single travel lane? But advisory shoulders and bike lanes have proven a safe, low-cost, low-impact way to create comfortable space for walking and biking on streets with lower to moderate traffic volumes and speeds.
The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has installed advisory shoulders or bike lanes in three locations in Portland, and more are planned for 2023 and 2024, including locations in the Lents, West Portland Park, and Southwest Hills Residential neighborhoods. Please join us for an online open house to learn more about advisory shoulders and bike lanes and provide feedback. A presentation will be followed by opportunity for questions and comments.
During the meeting, we will gather feedback and answer questions in a respectful environment.
The meeting will take place over Zoom and will be recorded. Registration is required at the link below.
