4th Annual Bowie Birthday Ride!
January 8, 2020 at 10:00 pm
4th annual memorial birthday ride for David Bowie!
(*Wasn’t gonna do the ride this year with a possible knee surgery pending, and the league night that I run at the The Portland Game Store but I just have to!)
Once again we are going to ride tonight to celebrate the birth of the one and only David Bowie, the gift of all his music and the wonderful artistry that he was blessed us with!
Unlike the prior 3 years, tonight’s ride will start late and END at the Bowie bike lane (near the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall) then possibly go to a nearby watering hole for some adult beverages 🙂
Celebration of the life and music of David Bowie with a mobile dance party and sing-a-long!
We’ll gather at 10pm near The Portland Game Store at 922 N Killingsworth St, (a block and a half west of Albina) roll out at 10:15 then ride to the Bowie Bike Lane.
This is a last minute thing so I may not even bring a small Buletooth speaker so as always other sound systems are more than welcome.
Also feel free to bring instruments to play along if you want to sing your little heart our in memory of the one and only DAVID BOWIE!
Rest In Peace!
This ride will happen Rain or Shine (but not in icy weather) but unlike Bowie vs. Prince of days of old will not go late and may end at an *adult oriented location (with some WARMTH) for more singing!
AND I’ll post the post ride location after the for those that want to just show up at the end!
Not a loop!
Bring Lights/Lock and Ride at Own Risk!
*Lighthearted REALLY early prelude protest, expounding the principles of http://pdxwnbr.org/why/ (but without nudity?)
Couldn’t get it to work 🙁
