The weekend is almost here. And with temps expected to heat back up, you might want to plan your riding earlier or later than usual.

A highlight this weekend includes the first-ever Salmon Cycling Classic down in Wilsonville. And Sunday is the most anticipated Sunday Parkways event of the year: A route that will follow the outline of the future Green Loop! PBOT has really pulled out all the stops on this one, with more activities than you could possibly fit into five hours. So check out the event brochure before you go in order to plan your attack.

Looking forward to the Green Loop Sunday Parkways. I’m hoping that downtown will be cooler with the tall buildings and trees in the park blocks. Not looking forward to the 93° forecast coming back home uphill afterwards.

At least with it being Sunday there should be plenty of places to park for those driving their bikes there. No worries about congested residential parking.

I’m really excited for the Sunday Parkways this weekend.

And I’ll be one of those driving to the ride! I’ll be bringing my kids – and our tandem+trailer won’t fit in the MAX and I’m not even going to attempt to pull them up and over the west hills there-and-back (I’m in Beaverton). I usually love riding Kingston over the hill, but its hard enough just pedaling myself, ha
