Meet Portland’s biking-friendly physical therapy office (Video)

Pedal PT, one of Portland’s many bike-oriented businesses, has just released a new promotional video. It’s a great look into the business that owner Kevin Schmidt has built over on SE Clinton Street.

Watch it below the jump…

Pedal PT: Bicycle-Friendly Physical Therapy from Kevin Schmidt on Vimeo.

We’re big fans of Pedal PT (not just because they’re one of our esteemed BikePortland Businesses). It’s a certified bike-friendly business and Kevin and his crew have made our community a better place by keeping people feeling good on their bikes and by giving back (I’m sure some of you have stopped by their free coffee events recently).

Nice video!

Yay, Pedal PT! It’s great to have such a bike-friendly business in our neighborhood.

That was a nice little video. I wonder if they could do one showing them working up a solution to someone’s problem, even using a make believe patient.

I’m a long distance rider. In the course of three weeks I rode from my Portland home to Government Camp, Tillamook and the top of Larch Mountain and back. I’ve had Kevin fit four bikes for myself and my wife and would gladly do it again. I went from sore knees (on or off the bike) and saddle pain to riding all day without problems. Highly recommended.

I’ve chatted with the people at Pedal PT over free coffee a few times. Kevin’s a really great guy. I will definitely consider them should I need their services!

Great video! This fall I went to Pedal PT to get my daily commuter, a 2008 Trek Soho, adjusted. I had a local bike shop fit my bike a couple years back, and it never felt right. Jake at Pedal PT spent a solid amount of time assessing, measuring everything, watching me on the bike, and then adjusted my bars, seat, and even where the cleats were positioned on my shoes. It made a world of difference in terms of comfort and efficiency. You can be loyal to your LBS for purchasing gear, but go to Pedal PT for a bike fitting – they really understands physiology and kinesiology.

I can’t say enough good things about Pedal PT. I went from having knee pain on rides over 20 miles to cycling over 1,000 miles for the Bike Commute Challenge last September thanks to Kevin!
