This weekend is our 6th annual BikeCraft holiday gift fair and you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t come and check it out.
For the first time, we’ll have the doors open for two days to accomodate your busy schedule. Swing by 15 NE Hancock (just north of Broadway and right off Williams) anytime this weekend between 10 am and 6pm to be a part of the BikeCraft magic. You’ve heard about Portland’s artisan economy and how bicycling is a major part of a thriving local industry. At BikeCraft, you can see and participate how creative and independent entrepreneurs have turned their love of bicycling into viable businesses.
Every year there’s a big hit at the show. Back in 2006, Natalie Ramsland of Sweetpea Bicycles sold out of her amazing “Smittens” felted bike gloves. Last year, Geoff Franklin of Walnut Studios created quite a buzz with his gorgeous, handmade leather goods. We’ve put together our most impressive list of vendors ever… What will be the hot thing this year?
Summers are busy in the Portland bike scene. There are lots of rides and events to see old friends and meet new ones. But in winter, many of us hunker down and we don’t get out as much. BikeCraft is a perfect place to re-connect with the social side of cycling. Grab a friend or three or meet-up at the venue. We encourage loitering!
If you’ve got a holiday gift list, BikeCraft is an ideal place to get started on it. With such a large and diverse selection of goods, you are sure to find that perfect thing; and you don’t have to bust your budget to do it. Many of our vendors offer charming items for as little as a few bucks.
