Here you go folks. Some great things to do on a bike this weekend. We’ve got a themed ride, a century, mountain bike trail work parties, a time trial and a whole lot more.
Friday (4/30)
8:30 pm: Cycle Shrine Art Installation Ride
Portlander Becky Morton is opening up a new store called BIKEASAURUS (1337 SE MLK) next month. This ride is a “christening of the space to make it bike friendly.” Becky’s shop will sell bike accessories and locally-made crafts and she plans to put the Cycle Shrine in the window so folks can see it from the street. Meet at Naito Fountain under the Burnside Bridge and come wearing a dinosaur costume or the color green. Free spoke cards, cookies and punch, vegan dinosaur eggs, and more!
Saturday (5/1)
9:00 am: 27th Annual Ride Across Clark County
I’ve been meaning to do this ride for years. Choose from four loop routes ranging from 18 to 100 mile in length. All loops start and finish from Clark College in Vancouver.
9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Forest Park Trail Decommissioning and Restoration Work Party
Join the Northwest Trail Alliance for a work party to help reclaim natural areas and decommission an illegal trail built in Forest Park back in February.
9:30 am: Move by Bike
Come help a fellow Portlander move to a new house, with bikes! Coffee and donuts at the start, beer and food at the end (what more do you need?). Everyone is welcome!
10:30 am: Wanderlust Men’s Ride (weekly)
This week’s theme is “random chocolate.” Meet in NE Portland and explore neighborhoods in search of chocolate treats.
10:45 am: Bike Camping at Milo McIver State Park
This two-day trip is a perfect introduction to bike camping. Pack your gear in some panniers and hit the road with the fine folks of Cycle Wild, a Portland non-profit who knows all about fun and adventure.
Sunday (5/2)
All day: Estacada Time Trial Series
A 20 mile time trial on beautiful Highway 224 along the Clackamas River in Estacada.
9:00 am – 2:00 pm: MTB Trail Work Party at Stub Stewart State Park
Help with the ongoing development of an off-road singletrack trail system at Stub Stewart State Park near Vernonia. Event is hosted by Northwest Trail Alliance. Visit the link to RSVP. All volunteers entered into a prize raffle (not to mention trail work is a lot of fun and rewarding too!).
2:00 pm: Bike Polo at Alberta Park (weekly)
Bike polo is on the rise in Portland and Alberta Park is where the legends are made. Everyone is welcome to show up and give it a try. The crew at Portland Bike Polo will show you the ropes (and a few other things if you want).
9:00pm: Zoobomb (weekly)
A Portland tradition like no other. Join them for a night you’ll never forget.

I,m going to load up my cargo tallbike with donations for the Goodwill and then do our weekly grocery shopping !!!!!
Bicycles for Humanity collected 300 bikes to send to schoolchildren in rural South Africa.
A few more donated kid or adult bikes are needed
