A large group of fashionable bike riders gathered in the South Park Blocks in downtown Portland this evening for the annual Sexy Cyclists Ride.

Participants showed up in all manner of outfits — from sequined pants, and saucy dresses (worn by boys and girls) to fishnets and, well, barely anything at all.

The plan was to show off their outfits on a ride through downtown, then settle into a karaoke pub crawl, have a fashion show, and, “dance into the wee hours.”

Watch the slideshow below for a look at some of the faces and fashions of Portland’s best-dressed cyclists:

Created with Admarket’s flickrSLiDR.

This ride was one of over 200 events that make up Pedalpalooza, a celebration of bikes and fun that goes through June 28th and is powered by Shift. See more Pedalpalooza coverage here.

Jonathan, thank you for the kind contribution to the Put Paul Tay on the Bus Back to Tulsa Fund! It was actually totally UNEXPECTED!

I was just hoping you\’d just clik the pix of me holding up the Street Roots. Yes, people, I have been BLESSED with the wonderful Portland experience of selling Street Roots on street corners. Singing NAKED 4 $1 was not playing well here. WNBR really killed the naked singing business. 😛

By the time Street Roots publishes my Pedalpalooza report in the next issue, I\’ll be reading it online in Tulsa. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.

Today, I am taking the Eclectic Bike Shops Tour at 1500 from CityBikes. Tonight, I will troll around the neighborhoods to find one of the Sisters of the Road Illegal Sleep-Out Block Parties.

They are asking the housed PDX citizens to show solidarity with the unhoused. Camp out ILLEGALLY on the street in front of your house. Put up a banner or a sign. Take lots of pix to send to Sisters of the Road. Invite your neighbors. Bring out the beer. Have a block party at the expense of the Sleep and Sit Nazis at PPB! Hooooooyaaaaaaa?

The photo of the cute girl in the red and white checkered dress with the cigarette dangling from her mouth. Not sexy.

A commenter mindlessly adhering to strict punctuation and capitalization rules on an Internet web-log posting. Not sexy. Knee jerk poo-pooing — Also, not sexy. Roseanne Barr, The Pope, George Bush, and the Elephant man. All, not sexy.
