Commuter social serving donuts/bagels, coffee, advice, and brochures/maps to bicyclists. Help us record bike traffic for better path sweeping.

3001 – A BIKE PARKING ODYSSEY (Vancouver)

1300 Franklin St., Vancouver WA (Clark County plaza)
Noon, 12 to 12.30: try a new bikelink locker. 12.40 to 12.50 fix a flat contest.
A bike commuter event for novice and skilled bike commuters for Vancouver and the North Portland region. Check out new electronic on-demand bike locker technologies (www.bikelink.org) – a first in the Northwest. Hands on skills for bike commuters: fill a pannier, load a bike on a bus rack, fix a flat contest, reserve a bike locker on-line, lock a bike, etc.Date changed to 20 June – rain delay. Get your bikelink cards now – a few free cards left for Vancouver commuters.

VOLUNTEER NIGHT AT NORTH PORTLAND BIKEWORKS

6pm, 1st, 3rd, and 4th tuesday of every month
Work/trade program to help with general shop tasks like breaking down and building up bikes for sale. All skill levels welcome. Your time working becomes credit for used parts at the shop. Have fun and meet great people!

PEDAL POTLUCK PICNIC

What’s better than riding bikes on a summer evening and having a picnic afterwards? The ride will be a casual one traversing approx. 3 miles and end in a mystery public “park” setting. The catch is the “park” will be a lesser-known and/or out of the way spot. Picnic will be potluck style, so please bring food and drink to share (preferably vegetarian/vegan), we’ll also stop at a grocery store along the way.

Celebrate the solstice! Bring something to eat & drink as we traverse local cinder cones on the shortest night of the year. Ride ends at sunrise.
