We just got official word that our final tally, not including matching grants, was over $6,700, plus the matching grant is another $1,000. BTA had at least 182 contributions. We actually won in two categories – most donations as well as most donors under 35 – but by design you can only win one matching grant.

Go cyclists! Thanks for your generosity! We’ll put it to work making sure that Portland continues to get better and better for bikes.

Full disclosure: though WWeek told us that we had won most donations and most under-35 gifts, it looks like the final tally came in somewhat different.

We did still get the most under-35 gifts, and thus the matching gift, but we came in third in overall donations, slightly behind the Feral Cat Coaltion of Oregon ($8,309) and the Northwest Academy ($8,279). Our total came to $7,784 before the matching grants–which is still wonderful, and will fund a great deal of advocacy and education for better biking in Portland and beyond.

Thanks again to the committed and generous Portland bicycling community!
