Yes, I feel equally sorry for the bus drivers as I do for other cyclists & myself when I'm going home on Williams in the evening. It must be very confusing/frightening/frustrating to have cyclists coming up in blind spots on both sides, and have to stop and wait for all of them pass with more gaining on you. I think it confuses drivers as well--one evening the bus stopped at a stop in the car lane, instead of pulling over into the bike lane, which sort of makes sense except for people tried passing it in the bike lane-just as the doors opened up and people were getting out, into the bike lane. Scary and dangerous for the bus riders!!! I also forgot the bus # before I could phone it into Trimet.
