Your cycling infrastructure just blows me away! In Auckland where I live there is a lot of public anger over the construction of bike lanes. If you placed your bike in front of cars at an intersection like this you would be run down by an irate motorist in a matter of days.

My work colleague has just informed me that we do have similar road marking here in Auckland. I will keep a look out and post a photo if I see one.
