I usually don't like the chunky, industrial look but it works on this bike. I'd really like to see this with drop bars though. *edit* - I talked to the rep at Seattle Bike Expo. Apparently the stock bike is equipped with hydraulic discs, which would explain the lack of drop bars. Seems like serious overkill for a city bike though.
