I used Google Earth Pro to map the climbs from Highway 30 up to Skyline - Germantown, Newberry, MacNamee, Logie Trail, and Rocky Point Road.

If we're talking video... why not YouTube or Google Video? YouTube will accept files up to 10 minutes and 100mb. I haven't see a limit on the Google site although I'm sure there is one. Their compression is kinda bad unless you have the right format. (DIVX?)

You Tube sucks for the most part. The quality is low, everything gets cropped, forget it. I suppose having the DIVX encoder might help, but I'm not going to go that route for now.

So, let's try Yousendit.com. Tell me if this works, and what you think. Sorry about the glitches, it's a matter of Google Earth encoding it into Quicktime format:

If it's a go, I can try other rides, or even other areas. I did one for riding from LeeVining over Tioga Pass, through Yosemite and into Yosemite Valley, if one would be interested.

That worked great... love the idea for scouting routes this way. How did you capture the video?

Did you press the 'secure' option in YouSendIt? For some reason I had to sign in (which is okay since I have an account).

Google Earth Pro has this feature ($400 program. My employer owns it and I use it in my job. I think a work around can be made though with various screen capture programs.)

Man, Lolo pass makes me tired just watching the video! Would be a heck of a thrill goasting down from there on my trike, though!
