My Burley lost a screw!

Last Saturday we were riding along peaceful and calm (well not that calm..Danica (5 month old) wasn't too happy!) when I heard a screw drop onto the ground.

I looked down and noticed my brand new Burley trailer was dangling by the safety strap!

The screw that holds the hitch to the frame bracked had come completely loose and fell right out! I couldn't believe it. We tried to get a new part from REI downtown (where we bought it) but they weren't too helpful.

Has this happened to anyone else? (I'll snap a photo tomorrow).

Well, I don't know about your exact problem, but since they are a friendly local-ish bike co-op I wouldn't be surprised if they had pretty good customer service. Maybe you can give them a call at 1-866-248-5634.

Thanks Jessica....we did actually just call them and they're sending us the new part.

Still makes me wonder about REI's installation though. How the heck did it ever come lose to begin with? We've only used it about 3 times.

It reminded me of those old CHIPS episodes when something on their motorcycles comes loose...oh the suspense.
