While cycling back to North Portland from downtown on Saturday, I was more or less keeping pace with a cyclist across the Steel bridge. When he took off onto the Rose Quarter Transit Center path, he dropped a machete on the road behind him. I picked it up and tried to follow him to return it, but he kept running every single red light along the way. A couple of miles up Williams, he finally disappeared (Maybe he was using the Mario Kart speed boosts).
If you are the cyclist that dropped the machete, I will hold it for you for one week. Please give me a call by next weekend at 360.901.9811. If you can properly identify yourself and the dropped item, I would be glad to return it.

I'd be asking myself what a cyclist is doing carrying one of those. Maybe turn it in to PPD.

Yeah, Keith, I'm sure you couldn't resist cutting loose.
Of course I'm a fan of edgy humor... (I have a lot more knife puns). Stay Sharp! K'Tesh |

Do you also turn in leatherman tools to the PPD?No need to turn it in because it doesn't really have any value. You can pick up a brand new machete at Harbor Freight for $4.99.
