What: World Exotica Concert & Dance Party

Who: Community Exchange Cycle Touring Club / Community Exchange Bike School

When: Evening of Sat. Sept. 30th, 2006

Where: (Confirming) The Center Space, 420 SE 6th, Portland. (2000 Sq.Ft. Dance Floor)

Why:

The ECT is raising funds to support the following projects:

1. IRS 501(c)-3 non-profit status application.

2. Purchase additional tools to further equip our Community Bike Clinic / School workbenches.

3. Ensure uninterrupted usage of our Community Bike Clinic / School space at 2503 SE Division St., Portland.

4. Support Bicycle Mechanic Training & Bicycle Physics courses curricula documentation, publication, and distribution.

5. Support website development of ExchangeCycleTours.org to set up cross-cultural exchange bike tours network.


How:

Party Info:

-Theme: World Exotica
-Time: 8PM - 2AM, Sat. Sept. 30th, 2006
-2-3 Bands, 2-3 DJs.
-Dancing Starts @ 10PM
-Beverages Served: Softdrinks, Energy Drinks, Beer, Wine, & champagne
-Food: Potluck.
-Attendee Age: 18+ to get in, 21+ to drink beer, wine, or champagne
-Cover Charge: $15. $5 off cover charge with healthy potluck item or World Exotica theme costume.

Volunteers get free entry to Party plus: 2 hours of free workbench rental & professional instruction at the Community Exchange Bike School, or (to be confirmed), discount coupon to 1 professional massage session at (To Be Determined) Massage Studio.

Volunteer activities Include:

-Promotion (Flyer design, flyer distribution, listserve posting)
-Musical Program (bands & DJs) Coordination
-Sound/Mixing system management
-Lighting System Management
-Party Space Decoration
-Cash Register Operation
-Coat/Bag Checking
-Food Coordination
-Bike Parking Attendants
-Security Monitors
-Party Space Clean Up


There will be a Volunteer's Meeting with free food, drinks, and music. Meeting location and time disclosed to Volunteers only.
