Default Springwater from Gresham to Boring...paved?

I was hoping to experience a smoother portion of the Springwater out past 82nd as I usually boke in town. In the back of my mind I thought I remember reading a while back that it wasn't paved or partially paved between Gresham and Boring. I was wondering what the current status of it is. I did a search but didn't pull up anything useful.

I'm curious when this is going to be paved too, as the Portland Century route takes much of it on August 16. I know the paving is slated to happen this summer, hopefully it's done before then.

Edit: nevermind, I see you're referring to the completely unpaved portion of it. The Portland Century route takes parts of the Springwater that are paved but the pavement is in crappy condition.

It's only the last couple of miles that are unpaved, but it pretty much goes next to the road, you can take that. Last I heard it was something like 2010 for the paving.

It's still not paved. If I recollect, there's a parallel road called Telford that is probably your best option....

In the past, I've ridden both the unpaved stretch and the parallel Telford Road. On my Trek Soho with 700c x 32 Bontrager hardcase tires (slicks). According to my usually impeccable memory, I didn't have any problems on the unpaved stretch. There didn't seem to be much in the way of unridable gravel. It just wasn't the smoothest ride in the world. On the plus side, it heads straight into Boring, and you don't have to worry about passing cars.
