Default Late Mar / all of April handling and Repair Classes

With the NW spring weather arriving soon (that off and on dream . . .), here are a few cycling skills classes that may be of interest to you and yours.

These are designed for novices and the semi-skilled of either gender, taught in a direct, jargon- and judgment-free environment.

Adult Bicycle Repair Classes
This class on Sunday March 22nd from 9-5 pm has one seat left. By the end of this class you will have your own tools and will have learned these skills on your bike:
o fix a flat with one tool,
o adjust all bearings, gears, brakes and all nuts and bolts,
o remove/replace your chain,
o true wheels AND
o how to anticipate future mechanical needs.

Class comes with a 5 page ‘how to’ – invaluable, detailed reminder sheets.

There is a bit more room in the weekday evening Repair classes that follow on Tues March 24th and Weds March 25th, and again on Mon March 30th and Tues March 31st – from 530 to 830 pm. All classes are at the BIKEmpowered bicycle school space – 5035 NE 23rd Ave Portland, OR 97211 - just north of Alberta on NE 23rd Ave.

LifeCycling Class
The next open LifeCycling class is April 4th. This 8 hour intensive has a little before-class homework, then I coach you through these 4 stages:
  1. Motivation/CyclingMindset skills.
  2. Planning every trip detail so you deal deftly with any ride.
  3. Crash-free Forever Rodeo, where you learn expert handling skills in “car talk”.
  4. Roadside Repair skills to fix flats, adjust gears, brakes and wheels.

To perfect your bicycling repair and riding skills - get involved with BIKEmpowered, for lifelong, lifestyle bicycling.

Thanks for telling all your 'wish I would ride more' buddies about BIKEmpowered too.

Spinning our wheels for good!
