...whose master is an absolute idiot!
"PUT THE MUT ON A FREAKIN' LEASH!!!" "You obviously have NO control over your dog and you really... REALLY! ...shouldn't own one!" "You really don't deserve a dog!" [man, that dog was fast!] It was early... not my normal time to get out on the road but I was going in early for a 7:00AM meeting... which got cancelled! BTW. And the light at Cornell and Orenco Station Pkwy doesn't acknowledge bikes... nor even the walk button at this twilite hour... ...And of course, i'm fasting this morning for an upcoming blood draw... Needless to say, this morning sucks Oh; and my appologies to the entire neighborhood that I probably woke up along Butler St. |

The county is committed to correcting these intersections. Look here for a publication they've written that describes how to deal with these lights as a bicyclist.
Note in particular the phone number on the last slide: 503-846-7950. Debbie is very responsive to requests from bicyclists; I know, because she's corrected numerous places at my behest. Finally, don't forget you have friends who "promote bicycle transportation, protect bicyclists’ rights, and improve bicycling conditions throughout Washington County, Oregon through education and advocacy."

For the purposes of this paragraph, a “safe distance” means a distance that is sufficient to prevent contact with the person operating the bicycle if the person were to fall into the driver’s lane of traffic.... Many pet owners are idiots !
I just feel sorry for the critters who have to live with them. |
