Lightbulb Policy on Image attachments...

I discussed this with Jonathan, and to facilitate better image viewing we came up with this:

As the internet is not a private place, you can have no expectation of privacy on your posts/attachments. The only way to retain your privacy is not to post.

To facilitate image viewing, the forum owner (or appointed moderator) may choose to upload attached images to a seperate account. However, a link to the original image will be provided.

No attempt will be made to profit from your images, and no permanent modifications will be made. However, displayed images may be resized improve viewing.

Default Click-thru for new forum members?

I take it you've added these terms and conditions to the agreement for new forum members?

The driver of a motor vehicle may only pass a person operating a bicycle by driving to the left of the bicycle at a safe distance and returning to the lane of travel once the motor vehicle is safely clear of the overtaken bicycle. For the purposes of this paragraph, a “safe distance” means a distance that is sufficient to prevent contact with the person operating the bicycle if the person were to fall into the driver’s lane of traffic....

On a related note, a handful of imagehosts that I've had good results with -

imageshack (this one can be tempermental, as they block hotlinking the images on some sites - so all you see is the yellow frog. I don't think that'll be a problem for us since we're generally SFW and fairly low volume.
tinypic
photobucket (requires registration)
jpghosting (requires registration to keep the pic longer than a month)

imagevenue has traditionally been a decent host, but I've been seeing troubles with them lately, I think they're bogging down from popularity or something.
imagesocket is in the same boat. Used to be great, now it's a bit slow.
