What's with the military style helicopters flying low in formation, with guys with guns hanging out the side?

If it's the Traffic Division training with the DoD, then I would be really concerned.

It's that bike-versus-car thing. They want to be ready in case things get any more intense.

Perhaps they're here to protect us from vacationing Miami Beach Florida Cabbies?

It's after 11:30 at night, and just as I am ready to fall asleep here in inner SE, another helicopter comes swooping down.
I was a zombie at work on Tuesday, and it seems I'll be one tomorrow, too. They are definitely not confining themselves to Jantzen Beach.

Growing up outside of West Linn in the rural Stafford area, we used to see those black helicopters all the time.
They live somewhere out near Molalla; at least, that's the direction they always came from and went to. Never noticed if they flew around at night... Of course, where we lived is under the flight paths for PDX and the Aurora airport, so we got a lot of air traffic all day and night. So I guess we got used to it. Even the wildlife got used to it; the deer and coyotes don't seem to be bothered by it, and neither do the turkey buzzards.

The Department of Defense. Y'know... the ones who manage all that military stuff.
