Default Any advice for painting carbon fiber?

I bought a new Easton carbon fiber fork and I want to paint it. I realize this will probably void the warranty, but if done properly it shouldn't cause any problems. I was thinking of using a small airbrush from an r/c model shop, but maybe some of you have some suggestions on the type of paint and best method for a smooth consistent paint job. The few local bike painters I found had a long backlog of orders, so I want to do it myself. Does anyone have any experience or advice?

Thumbs down Advise? Sure... DON'T!!!

In a word... DON'T!!!

If you want to change the appearance of your carbon fibre, use a vinyl sign making film, preferably retro-reflective, or clear if you want. After you have it covered with that, use a paint that will work with that material, then you can cover it with clear vinyl film to protect it.

This way you don't risk the resin reacting with the paint.
