Default Off Ladd's Circle Approaching 12th

Saturday - about 7:30 a.m. heading towards 12th (I don't use the bike turn lane to run parallel with Hawthorne - I'd rather wait at "malfunction junction" for the every other cycle green).

Grey Pontiac is approaching and the driver is looking to the Right at something in the gas station. Meanwhile he's signaling left to turn into the cafe parking lot.

"Uh oh..." Swerve right... he's coming... yeah... oh crud... "Hey! HEY! HEY!"

He looks back in time... just in freakin' time. Swerve... Whew.

Couple of thoughts:

1) Always attempt to make eye contact with drivers.
2) Drivers don't always expect us to be in certain places though we're "entitled." 7:30 a.m. - I surprised him.
3) Driver innattentiveness and distraction - it's a split second in time - but so common.
4) It's Fred, maybe, but run the lights in the daytime... yep I had my strobe off.
