Cell phone conversation = right hook

Sunday morning, 10:30 am, SW 3rd and Jefferson, heading south on 3rd.

Young woman on a cell phone - oblivious, no turn signal - passes me, then pulls a right turn right in front of me. I was in the bike lane. I had anticipated this happening, so I turned right onto Jefferson with her, sprinted a block to catch up to her and yelled, "Hey, you almost hit me back there. Hang up your phone and drive!!!"

She looked very shocked, which was the idea. But, to her credit, she immediately pulled over to finish her conversation.

Sigh...when are people going to learn?

And when politicians stop representing the corporate interests that donate tons of money to campaigns to keep driving while talking on a cell phone legal and start representing the public good.
