Hello all,
I am new here and I am interested in learning about any local rides or events that feature classic or vintage bikes? Swap Meets? Collector Events? Classic or Fat-Tire Rides? etc??? Any help would be appreciated. |

I seem to remember that the Community Cycling Center sponsored some classic rides last year. I'd check with them.

Hey if you dont find what your looking for, start your own.
If you are talking about Fat-tire cruisers, beach style. You might be on your own.... I couldnt find a group to ride with, that worked with my schedule so I started my own. Good luck....Mike. I just noticed your in Salem....I'd check local bike shops.

check out this group:
http://www.orrandonneurs.org/ It's not so much a vintage events group but they usually attract a more vintage-minded rider. |

Oregon Randonneurs - I wouldn't say vintage-minded. Some of us are perilously close to vintage, but that's another story.
Our shortest rides are 100km; first one is this Saturday (Free! Open to non-members!) Bikes you'll see - everything. Rivendells, Kogswells, Sevens, maybe David's Raleigh Supercourse, Airborne, Marinoni, Waterfords, Treks, recumbents, CoMotions, Bike Fridays, Jack Taylors, Bianchis... Even a Pereira, an Ira Ryan, and an Ahearne, ridden by non other than... Lugged steel and canvas saddlebags and front bags are not a requirement, but a lot of us have that setup. |
