Almost every morning is sketchy to cross.

I think this intersection is kind of fun, actually. There's a little island midway across marked with white paint as if *just for bicycles* and once you make it there, traffic usually just stops to let you finish your crossing.

I've actually never had a close call here. Most motorists have been very gracious.

It can be exciting, but dangerous. The island area is definitely a godsend, however I've often had sketchy crossings here. Cars turning from Sandy to 11th often don't see bikes on Ankeny. Eastbound cars on Ankeny often shoot across without watching carefully.
