Beaverton Bike Advisory Council's Next Meeting is...
 Beaverton's Bicycle Advisory Committee at work Beaverton's Bicycle Advisory Committee schedualed to meet the 1st Tuesday of each month. However, there are months that the meeting gets cancled. For more information, or if you have questions, please call Margaret Middleton at (503) 526-2424 The 2009 Bicycle Advisory Committee meetings are scheduled for the 1st Tuesday of the month Dates: 2/3/09, 3/3/09, 4/7/09, 5/5/09, 6/2/09, 8/4/09, 9/1/09, 10/6/09, 11/3/09, 12/1/09 Time: 6:30 PM Location: Beaverton City Hall, 1st Floor Council Chamber (All 2009 meetings will be held on 1st Floor.) I am not a member of the BAC, but I attend to provide feedback from a bike commuter/full time rider perspective.
In the March meeting, we had a guest speaker talking about the Beaverton end of the WES train project. We added requests for a bike box on the Lombard/Farmington intersection, a slight re-route of the SB bikelane markings, and high vis markings to guide cyclists over the tracks at the Transit center. There was much talking about the MUP on Lombard between Broadway and Farmington that is being created... There is a problem with creating a bike lane there due to the angle of the tracks there. We had a new visitor, who came because of these reminders.  Want to find out what the BAC is all about? Come next time! It's open to the Public! CU There! New Time... New location...
In line with the need for more time to get to the meeting, the BAC voted to change the start of the meetings from 6pm to 6:30pm.
Also, all 2009 meetings will be held on 1st Floor. With the Feb 3rd meeting in the City Council Chambers.
