Default Dia De Los Muertos Costume Ride Nov 1 StJ's

The North Portland Tool Library invites you to “A night in St Johns” Fundraiser and a Dia de los Muertos bike tour of St Johns, Thursday, November 1st!

Several local St Johns businesses have offered to give a percentage of their day’s take to support the North Portland Tool Library, and to get you out there we are hosting a Dia de los Muertos Spooky Bike Tour and Parade in St Johns!

The ride will begin at 4 pm at Weir Cyclery, and the tour will stop at such eerie sites as Cathedral Park, beneath the gothic spires and haunted deck of the St Johns Bridge, take in the view of “the cut” along the Peninsula Crossing Trail, visit the lonely grave of 19th century bachelor farmer Fred Ramsey, and pass beneath the gloomy firs of beautiful Pier Park. More ambitious riders can add in the Smith and Bybee Lakes/Kelly Point Park section of the 40 mile loop trail.

The ride will wind up with a costume contest at the St Johns Theatre and Pub around 6 pm with fabulous prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the best costumes/bike floats donated by Weir Cyclery! We hope to see you there!

Want to know more about the North Portland Tool Library? Check us out at www.northportlandtoollibrary.org.

Can’t make the ride? We would love it if you could patronize one of our supporting St John’s businesses on November 1st!

St John’s Theatre and Pub: 4$ of each 10$ ticket sold that evening goes to support the North Portland Tool Library!

Weir’s Cyclery: the city’s oldest bike shop donated our prizes for the costume contest, and Steve has volunteered to be one of the judges. Support this great local business!
