Monday, Labor Day, Sept 3, ECT Lava Canyon Bike & Hike
Sponsored by the Community Exchange Cycle Touring Club Do you like roads that are closed to motor vehicle traffic? Come join us on Labor Day as we enjoy the beautiful pedestrian and cyclist only section of Route 83 from Marble Mtn Sno-Park up to Lava Canyon on the south side of Mt. St. Helens! Lots of awesome scenery and wonderfully cool creeks for toe dipping. There are a few seats and spaces available for people and their bikes and participation is on a first come, first serve basis so please RSVP your intent to participate as soon as possible. We can also accommodate more riders if anyone is interested in volunteering their vehicle to transport more riders/bikes. Please include that information along with your RSVP. Fuel costs and parking fees will be shared. Total costs ran between $4 and $5 per person on the last trip to Mt. St. Helens. We will have enough coolers on hand for each person to bring a few food items that need to remain cold. There is a small convenience store located a few miles before reaching the destination.
